호호밀

  • THE CLIENT

    HOHOMEAL is a 'KOREAN SNACK BAR' that anyone can enjoy casually. It is located on the first basement floor of Incheon International Airport Terminal 1. ‘HOHOMEAL’ is the place to enjoy snacks, such as tteokbokki (spicy stir-fried rice cake) and gimbap, and restaurant for customers looking for a reasonably priced and simple meal. This brand was developed for travelers waiting for their flight and foreigners visiting Incheon International Airport.

    호호밀 (HOHOMEAL)은 인천국제공항 제1여객터미널 지하 1층에 자리한 누구나 부담없이 즐길 수 있는 'KOREAN SNACK BAR'입니다. 떡볶이, 김밥 등의 분식을 즐길 수 있는 ‘호호밀’은 저렴하고 간단한 식사를 찾는 이용객들을 위한 식당으로 비행기 시간을 기다리는 여행객들과 인천공항을 방문한 외국인들을 타겟으로 개발된 브랜드입니다.

  • THE OBJECTIVE

    목적

    'HOHOMEAL' was coined by combining 'HOHO' (好好), which depicts pleasant laughter with light chatter and means that it is great to have fun together, and 'MEAL,' meaning food. Together, it means enjoying delicious dishes at popular Korean restaurants and having a good time together. YNL Design tried to develop a brand identity and package system that delivers a friendly and happy brand image that can be enjoyed freely by making the best of the meaning of the name.

    호호밀은 가벼운 담소로 즐겁게 웃는 소리를 묘사하는 동시에 함께 즐길 수 있어 좋다는 의미의 ‘호호(好好)’와 음식을 뜻하는 의미하는 ‘밀(meal)’을 결합한 네이밍으로 한국 대중 음식점의 맛을 즐기고, 함께 좋은 시간을 즐긴다는 의미를 지니고 있습니다. YNL Design은 이러한 네이밍의 의미를 살려, 부담없이 즐기는 친근하고 즐거운 브랜드 이미지를 전달하는 브랜드 아이덴티티와 패키지 시스템을 개발하고자 했습니다.

  • THE SOLUTION

    해결방안

    Inspired by the brand name, HOHOMEAL, YNL Design developed a minimal and friendly symbol using the Chinese character for HO (好: good), and expressed the logotype for HOHOMEAL with a modernistic line with uniform thickness. We described some of the menus sold at HOHOMEAL with graphic elements in a modern and understated form and developed various application designs, such as the menu board DID, external DID, storytelling poster, wall graphic, name tag, business card, takeout packages, uniforms, and stickers using a clean and modern layout with photographs of food.

    YNL Design은 호호밀의 브랜드 네임에서 착안하여 한자 좋을 호(好)를 사용하여 미니멀하고 친근한 감성의 심볼을 개발하였으며 호호밀이라는 로고타입을 획 두께가 균일하고 모던한 라인으로 표현하였습니다. 호호밀에서 판매하는 일부 메뉴를 모던하고 절제된 형태의 그래픽 요소로 표현하였고, 음식 사진과 함께 깔끔하고 모던한 레이아웃을 활용하여 메뉴보드 DID, 외부 DID, 스토리텔링 포스터, 월그래픽, 네임택, 명함, 테이크아웃 패키지, 유니폼, 스티커 등 다양한 응용 디자인을 개발하였습니다.
