Autonomous A2Z Co., Ltd. (Autonomous A2Z), founded in 2018 by researchers from Hyundai Motor’s Uiwang Advanced Research Center, is a leading autonomous driving startup. The company has demonstrated its technological prowess by operating the largest fleet of autonomous vehicles in Korea and setting the nation’s longest autonomous driving records. In 2023, Autonomous A2Z ranked 13th on the global Autonomous Vehicle Leaderboard by Guidehouse Insights, competing alongside global tech giants. YNL Design redefined Autonomous A2Z’s verbal identity and developed brand names and visual identities for their unmanned mobility platforms, MS (Mid Shuttle) and SD (Small Delivery), to articulate the company’s vision for the future of mobility.
(주)오토노머스에이투지(Autonomous A2Z)는 2018년 현대자동차 의왕 선행연구소 출신의 연구원들이 창업한 자율주행 스타트업 기업으로 국내 최대 자율주행 차량 대수, 국내 최장 자율주행 운행기록을 통해 기술력을 입증했으며, 2023년 미국 가이드하우스가 평가하는 글로벌 자율주행 리더보드에서 13위를 기록하며 글로벌 빅테크와 경쟁하고 있습니다. YNL Design은 오토노머스에이투지의 버벌 아이덴티티를 재정립하고, 무인 모빌리티 플랫폼인 MS(mid shuttle)과 SD(small delivery)를 위한 브랜드 네임과 비주얼 아이덴티티를 개발하여 오토노머스에이투지가 지향하는 미래 모빌리티의 비전을 구체화하고자 합니다.
THE OBJECTIVE
목적
Under the slogan “Envision the Mobility of Tomorrow”, YNL Design sought to redefine the identity of this innovative company, ranked 13th globally. Based on this renewed identity, we developed brand names and BI (Brand Identity) designs for MS and SD. The new BI conveys the value of an autonomous mobility brand that liberates movement, connects diverse experiences, and creates a safer and more convenient world. Through seamless interaction between individuals and autonomous vehicles, the logo and color scheme embody the company’s philosophy of enriching lives by offering safe and effortless mobility for all. This reinforces the brand identity of an autonomous vehicle company and delivers a distinctive brand experience.
Envision the Mobility of Tomorrow’라는 슬로건을 통해 글로벌 13위에 랭크된 혁신적인 기업의 정체성을 새롭게 정의하고, 이를 바탕으로 MS(mid shuttle)와 SD(small delivery)를 대한 브랜드 네임과 BI 디자인을 개발했습니다. 새로운 BI는 많은 이들의 이동을 자유롭게 만들고, 다양한 경험을 연결하여 보다 안전하고 편리한 세상을 만드는 자율주행 모빌리티 브랜드의 가치를 전달합니다. 개인과 자율주행 차량의 상호작용을 통해 모두에게 보다 안전하고 편리한 이동 경험을 제공한다는 기업의 철학을 담음 로고와 컬러를 통해 인간의 삶을 풍요롭게 만드는 자율주행 차량 브랜드의 정체성을 강화하고 차별화 된 브랜드 경험을 제공합니다.
THE SOLUTION
해결방안
YNL Design reflected the soft curves of ROii and COii’s vehicle exteriors, their unique headlight shapes, and spacious, comfortable interiors in the BI design to convey the values of safety and convenience in future mobility. The vibrant and eye-catching Mint Blue was applied to both the vehicle exteriors and interior displays to enhance information visibility while creating a sense of comfort and warmth. The customer-centric BI design transforms the innovative value of autonomous driving technology into a friendly and positive brand image. The symbols, logotypes, and colors of ROii and COii enhance the brand experience of autonomous vehicles by connecting diverse experiences to create a better world, all within a sustainable design system.
YNL Design은 ROii와 COii의 차량 외관의 부드러운 곡선, 독특한 헤드라이트 모양, 넓고 편안한 실내 공간의 특성을 반영한 BI 디자인을 통해 브랜드의 안전하고 편리한 미래 모빌리티의 가치를 표현했습니다. 주목성이 높고 생기 넘치는 Mint Blue를 차량 외관과 내부 디스플레이에 활용하여 정보 전달력을 높였으며, 편안하고 따스한 감성을 연출합니다. 고객 경험에 집중한 BI 디자인은 혁신적인 자율주행 기술의 가치를 친근하고 긍정적인 브랜드 이미지로 전달합니다. ROii와 COii의 심볼과 로고타입, 컬러는 지속 가능한 디자인 시스템을 통해 다양한 경험을 연결하여 더 나은 세상을 만드는 자율주행 차량의 브랜드 경험을 강화합니다.
